Flying Lessons...
As I was out working in the yard preparing for my party I saw Sydney playing with something, I ruch over and see that she's got a baby robin...I quicky scold her and chase her off...the baby robin seems shaken doesn't look harmed but won't move...fearing Sydney or one of the cats would be back I rush and get a pair of gloves pick up the young one and place him in a tree out of reach of the animals...later I see the baby robin on the ground again...as I approach he flutters away...he can make it about 100 feet but not into a tree...I sit and watch him from a distance to see if he can manage himself and just make sure none of the animals get him again...I hear a commotion behind me and turn just in time to see papa robin chasing Cornflake...It then occured to me that these are very capable parents...With the huge fearless dog gone they are more than capeable of keeping would be preditors away from their young learning to fly...As I approch the baby one more time just to be sure he's ok I find myself in the same position as Cornflake, being divebombed by this robin...let me tell you a robin flying at your head is pretty frightening...as I run off the baby flutters away again...I think he'll be flying in no time...I wish I could fly...
